Tools for Evaluating Economic and

Personal Finance Instructional Materials

The National Association of Economic Educators (NAEE) developed four evaluation tools to assist teachers in deciding what economic and personal finance materials might be best for them. The team that developed these instruments included five individuals from regional Federal Reserve Banks: Barbara Flowers from St. Louis, Amy Hennessy from Atlanta, Andrew Hill from Philadelphia, Mary Suiter from St. Louis, and Princeton Williams from Dallas. Non-Fed NAEE members were Bill Bosshardt from Florida, Marsha Masters from Arkansas, Bonnie Meszaros from Delaware, Mike Raymer from Georgia, Mark Schug from Florida, and Mike Staten from Arizona.

The team developed four rubrics and a glossary. Please feel free to share these resources with others.
